Blog Challenge Day 30 - Tag

What is your current makeup obsession?
I am loving wearing Mac's Mulch eyeshadow all over my lids and under my lower lash line. Its the perfect winter eye and very fast to do!

What are you wearing today?
Honestly I am wearing my pyjamas still! I love Sundays!

Hair? In a messy bun.

Do you nap a lot?No, I keep feeling like I need to nap these days but can never manage it anymore!

Why is today special? It is the first day in weeks where I haven't got to go anywhere or do anything, so it is indeed very very special :)

What's for dinner today? Slow cooked top rump cottage pie mmm!
What is your current fashion obsession?
I don't have one, I only wear what I can fit into at the moment lol!  My fashion sense has gone completely out of the window.  I put on nearly 4 stone with pregnancy and have so far lost 3 1/2 stone (including baby) so there isn't much to go before I wear nice outfits again instead of wearing just what I can fit in!! My favourite fashion item of the moment however is this skirt from Urban Outfitters! I got it in the sale for £12 reduced from £40 -bargain!

What are you listening to right now? How I met your mother on tv :)
What is your favorite weather? Definitely summer.

What's the last thing you bought? Some more slippers from Primark, love them!

What's your style? Quite classic but slightly hippyish.

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?
Honestly I love living where we do now! I love living by big lakes, being so close to London and also being so close to an airport which makes going away so simple and easy.

Favorite vacation spot? New York! and within Europe Ibiza:)

How was your childhood? Really good!

What would you like to have in your hands right now? A large gooey chocolate chip cookie and glass of milk

What are you most excited for?  Honestly I was so excited to have a baby nothing seems quite as exciting anymore! Everyday is great :)  Saying this I am very excited to be seeing JT next year with my friend Laura :)

Which countries have you visited?
Spain, Majorca, Ibiza, Italy, France, Switzerland, Ireland, The Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, America, the list goes on :)

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go? New York! Specifically the Tick Tock diner next to the New Yorker hotel for a stack of chocolate chip pancakes with a side of crispy bacon and possibly a chocolate milkshake alongside.. not that i'm hungry or anything:s!

Well today is the last day of the blog challenge! It has been fun to do :)
I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and have a great new year! I will be back to the usual schedule next Friday! See you then :)

Oilatum face cream

I started using Oilatum face cream a few years ago now after reading a review online.

I have quite dry skin especially in the winter.
For years before this I had always used Clinique creams I particularly used to love dramatically different for during the day and ... For night.

I was in boots one day running low on my moisterised and spotted Oilatum remembering the recommendation I thought I'd give it a go!

After using this for a few weeks I couldn't believe the difference in my skin. It always looked so well moisturised and no longer ever felt dry or tight!

I was brought some Clinique for my birthday a few months later and I just couldn't get used to using it again. My skin just looked and felt so much better with Oilatum.

A tube of Oilatum usually lasts me about 6 weeks that's using the product twice a day.

I have everyone using it now!  If you suffer from dry skin definitely check this out it only costs £7.80 and if you can catch the offer it's sometimes 3 for 2 at boots.

Lush Buffy Review

I love Lush products they just really seem to agree with my skin.
I had real trouble with different products during pregnancy I suddenly become sensitive to a lot of the products I once loved. The worst thing I used was my Sanctuary Spa scrub it made me come up in a rash head to toe.
Pregnancy has just left me absolutely loving my Lush products I just cant get enough of them! Everything just agrees with my skin and makes me feel amazing!

I brought Buffy to use as a scrub during pregnancy. I was told it was great at exfoliating but wasn't too harsh on the skin so would be fine to use on my bump.

Not to sound too dramatic but I honestly don't know how I would of coped without this! I have used it every single day for about 6 months now. Between this and the massage bars they have been the only things that have stopped my skin feeling itchy and irritated! It has been an absolute life safer!

This body butter has tiny exfoliating beads which are great at giving your skin a good scrub and getting rid of any dead skin. After using Buffy you are left with a silky buttery residue which makes your skin feel lovely for hours!

The description from Lush..
Ground rice, ground almonds and ground aduki beans make Buffy a triple threat to dead skin and lumpy bumpy bits.  They are tough enough to polish away the dead, without being too harsh on your skin. Cocoa butter and shea butter make sure that the skin is left moisturised and dewy soft.  Lavender oil is a great oil for soothing the skin and calming the mind.

If you haven't tried this already you really need too, it is amazing I really recommend giving it a go!

See you next week!

Mid Week Post - New York New York!

Start spreading the news... I want to go today!

I don't know what it is about New York but its one of them places once you've been once it draws you back!
Its definitely the greatest city in the world so much to see, so much to do and so many restaurants filled with incredible food!
You could go over and over again and still not see everything!

The last time we went was nearly 4 years ago now. I remember buying our flights for £201 return!
We have been wanting to go back for a few years but our money has been tied up buying our house and now the cost of going to New York has literally doubled.

I thought I would do a post asking you guys if you have any tips to do New York on more of a budget? I am dying to go back but with a baby on the way its not going to happen unless we can get an amazing deal!

If you have any tips or tricks for cheap flights and accomodation please post below, I'd love to hear them! :)

Bags! Big or small? Cheap or expensive?

A few years ago my Mum and Dad went to Singapore and my Mum called me up while in a shopping centre and said "They have Guess handbags here for £50 do you want one?" and I remember thinking wow that sounds like a good deal but no £50 is a bit of a crazy amount to spend on a handbag when I already have one.
That Christmas I opened a present and inside was this guess handbag that my Mum had seen!

It was love!

The handbag was so well made you could just feel the quality of it.
A few years later we booked a holiday to Australia with a stop off in Singapore and I thought maybe ill get a another bag.
I could not believe the price difference between the UK and Singapore!
I ended up buying 5 bags (yes I know this was completely excessive!)
They ranged between £30-£60 each! I found one of the same bags in the UK for £150 so crazy price difference!

5 years on and 3 are still going strong! The others have been so loved and worn that really they need throwing away!

After getting really nice bags I cant imagine going back. Although you pay out more money initially they last for years.

I have a problem when it comes to large handbags though, I fill them up! I know a lot of girls seem to be the same.

I looked in my handbag recently to find out why it was so heavy and I had 3 tape measures, a full size hand cream, a notepad, 3 pens, a purse, 5 lip sticks, 3 packs of tissues,  a ton of receipts and unfortunately the list goes on!
I made the decision to get a new bag, a small one to precise. My theory was with a small bag I can only fit so much in it and I can stop hurting my shoulder!! and was it a good choice?

Yes it was a great choice!

I really wanted to get a leather bag, one that I know will last years! After ALOT of window shopping I brought the Ted Baker Markun.

I love this black is small, classic and goes with every type of outfit!
I have had it for a few months now and the leather has slightly softened which I love.
It was quite pricey at £150 but it is amazing quality and I honestly do think I will constantly use it for years.

What are your guys favourite bags!?

See you next week!

Christie Friday-Lush Vanilla Dee-Lite Body Lotion Review

Lush Vanilla Dee-Lite Body Lotion

I got this as a birthday present and loved using it!

This smells just like cake mix, a lovely vanilla edible kind of smell which last on your skin for a few hours after applying.
I don’t know what it is but this moisturiser just feels really luxurious and like it should be ridiculously expensive like the creams from Laura Mercier. The price is £11.95 and worth every penny!
It sinks into your skin when apply it no matter how much you apply (I do like to use a lot sometimes!)
It doesn’t leave any white streaks and isn’t oily it just leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised for hours.

Its defiantly one of the best body moisturisers I’ve ever used.
 Another win from Lush!
